Thursday Nights Beginning February 12th, 2009 6:30pm	Value Packed Parenting	Northminster Presbyterian Church
Value Packed Parenting Class to Begin. Come take part in a video based class called Value-Packed Parenting – Raising Rock-Solid Kids in a Pleasure Driven World. The curriculum and video is written by Dr. Kevin Leman an internationally known Christian psychologist. The DVD presentation is made to a studio audience in lecture format – liberally sprinkled with scripture references and humor. Leman bases his program on the verse from Proverbs, “Train up a child in the way he should go; and when he is old, he will not depart from it” The lessons include: The Ten Best Gifts You’ll Ever Give Your Kids: it’s never too late to become a better parent. How to Listen So Kids Will Talk and How to Talk so Kids Will Listen – staying tuned in so they don’t tune you out. Discipline Isn’t Spelled P-U-N-I-S-H-M-E-N-T – why teaching and learning are better than punishment and penalties. Ten Ways To Improve Your Child’s Self-Confidence – a step-by-step plan that works wonders. Caution: Anger Ahead – observing the warning signs before tempers flare. Birth Order and What You Need to Know About It – recognize your children’s differences and turn them into advantages. Standing Up To the New Goliath – helping kids overcome the negative influences of the internet, the media, and technology. The target audience includes parents, expecting parents, folks planning a family in the future, grandparents, and those who teach, counsel or work with children. Please sign up with Pastor Stacey and let her know what time you would like to start – each session will last an hour and child care will be made available. Come and sit in a comfortable seat while you are filled with the Glory of God through song through Gospel Fest! The Singing groups will include the NPC Singers, The men's group Three Longs and a Short, and others. There will also be a fun "Sing-A-Long" of Hymn favorites for those who wish to join in! A Free Will Offering will be taken to benefit GNEA (Good Neighbor Emergency Assistance) We Hope to See You There!
